Origin

Pectineal line of pubis and narrow area of sup pubic ramus below it

Action

Flexes, adducts and med rotates hip

Insertion

A verticle line between spiral line and gluteal crest below lesser trochanter of femur

Nerve

Ant div of femoral N (L2, 3). Occasional twig from obturator N (ant div-L2,3)
