FLEXOR DIGITORUM SUPERFICIALIS

Origin

Humeral head: common flexor origin of med epicondyle humerus, med lig of elbow. Ulnar head: sublime tubercle (med border of coronoid process) and fibrous arch. Radial head: whole length of ant oblique line

Action

Flexes prox IP jnts and secondarily MCP jnts and wrist

Insertion

Tendons split to insert onto sides of middle phalanges of med four fingers

Nerve

Median N (C7, 8) (from med and lat cords)
